Moon Community Access Television (MCA-TV) is owned and operated by the Township of Moon. The station is funded mainly by the franchise fee paid to Moon Township by the local cable carriers, Comcast and Verizon. The channel can be viewed on channel 14 of the Comcast cable system, and on Verizon FIOS TV, Channel 35. MCA-TV is a public access station designed to let residents communicate via television. Moon Township residents have the right to produce programs to air on MCA-TV.
Moon Community Access Television (“MCA-TV”) is a center for the production and distribution of public access, educational, and governmental programming over the cable system serving Moon Township. The goal of MCATV is to use electronic media to foster and maintain a sense of community in the Township. MCA-TV strives to contribute to an informed citizenry by providing public access programming, responding to community needs, addressing local government issues, and helping bring education into the home.
