The Daily of the University of Washington, usually referred to in Seattle simply as The Daily, is the student newspaper of the University of Washington in Seattle, USA.
The newspaper stopped publishing a Monday edition in 1933 during the Great Depression. In 1976, he became the newspaper of the University of Washington, and in 1985 it resumed publication on Monday.
The daily newspaper is one of the most decorated college in the nation. In the 2010 Conference of the National College Media The newspaper obtained the pacemaker for General Excellence, Best of Show, Story of the Year Editorial / Opinion, History of the diversity of the Year and Multimedia Story of the Year. The newspaper also won the 2007 Apple, 2008, 2009 and 2010 for the best four-year college newspaper (tabloid) in the United States in the CMA Spring Convention in New York. has also been recognized with the mark of 2007, 2008 and 2009 Excellence Award for Best All-Around Newspaper in Region X by the Society of Professional Journalists (Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana and Alaska). He was a finalist in the newspaper pacemaker in 2009 and earned second place Best of Show at the National Conference of College Media held in Austin, Texas.
