Issaquah Press Inc. has been an affiliate of the local Seattle Times Company since July 1, 1995. The flagship newspaper, The Issaquah Press, is the oldest newspaper on the Eastside, now in its 112th year of continuous publication.
The newspaper group includes The Issaquah Press, founded in 1900; Sammamish Review, a weekly founded in 1992; SnoValley Star, a weekly founded in 2008; and Newcastle News, a monthly since 1999. The newspapers are editorially autonomous from any other Seattle Times publications.
IPI also publishes Issaquah Living and Sammamish Scene magazines, and proud publisher of the award-winning ‘Ohfishal’ Salmon Days Festival Program.
The Issaquah Press is delivered to nearly 15,000 homes each week. It is a “voluntary pay” newspaper and about 3,000 homes choose to pay to subscribe.
Objective
To produce economically sound newspapers that add to the identity and pride of the communities they serve, record the history of the town and its people, and make a difference in the quality of life for the residents and merchants. Issaquah Press Inc. is dedicated to the belief that a strong community newspaper is essential to a strong community.
