In 2006 and 2005, the Herald received first place of honor in the AP association 10000-50000 circulation paper category for coverage of a raid by Immigration and Customs Enforcement in Hyrum, Utah meatpacking plant, and coverage of a van crash that killed several students at Utah State University and a professor, respectively.
