aXis magazine was founded as the entertainment section of the UCF Future on the University of Central Florida campus in the summer of 1994. After six months of campus-exclusive entertainment and nightlife coverage, the section expanded to a regional monthly magazine format. Having distributed 25,000 issues each month since January of ’95, aXis Magazine boasts the title of oldest and most prominant entertainment resource in Central Florida.
With a readership of the 18-34 active, young adults, the magazine strives to entertain and enlighten through cutting edge interveiws and features with intriguing personalities from music, film, sports and regional media. Published by UCF alumni Sean Perry and Rick Wheeler, aXis also produces and programs the annual Florida Music Festival with more than 250 bands performing for 25,000 music fans, over 4 days every April, throughout 15 venues in downtown Orlando. Strategic affiliations with street and viral marketing, aXis offers a multi-media approach targeting the 18-34 demographic here in Orlando.
